Technology

From Single-Beam to Multi-Dimensional Light SatEnlight leverages Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) to encode multiple independent data streams on a single optical beam. While conventional optical links transmit information through a single spatial mode of light, OAM enables multiple distinct modes to coexist within the same carrier.

Our patented receiver then demultiplexes these channels efficiently, enabling:

Multi-channel OAM demultiplexing

Robust operation under atmospheric turbulence

Intrinsic physical-layer security — OAM states cannot be decoded without the proper demodulation architecture

Seamless integration with existing Gaussian-beam systems — enhancing current optical terminals without redesign

By combining OAM multiplexing with patented receiver architecture, SatEnlight multiplies channel capacity and increases the security of communications.

How It Works

Incoming structured beam carrying multiple OAM states

A localized region of the wavefront is extracted by patented multi-aperture receiver

Wavefront phase sensing

Parallel demodulation of multiple channels

Turbulence Mitigation Module

Free-space optical communication systems must operate under atmospheric turbulence and phase distortions. SatEnlight integrates a turbulence mitigation module, supported by patent-pending electronics, capable of compensating atmospheric perturbations. This approach reduces ground-station complexity while maintaining reliable channel demodulation.
