SatEnlight wins the Startup Space Competition at SATShow Week 2026

On 24 March 2026, SatEnlight took the stage in Washington, D.C., as one of ten international finalists in the 10th Annual Startup Space Entrepreneur Pitch Competition at SATShow Week.

A few days later, SatEnlight returned from Washington as the 2026 winner of Startup Space.

The competition brought emerging satellite companies in front of investors, industry executives and decision-makers gathered at one of the world’s leading events for the satellite sector.

CEO Matteo Vismara presented SatEnlight’s approach to increasing the capacity of optical communication links through Orbital Angular Momentum and spatial multiplexing.

The Washington event represented an important step in SatEnlight’s international development.

During the previous months, the company had received recognition within the Italian innovation ecosystem. Winning Startup Space in March 2026 brought that validation onto an international stage and directly into the global satellite industry.

The award package also provided opportunities for investor meetings, industry exposure and access to additional international events.

For SatEnlight, the result was not the conclusion of the journey, but an opportunity to accelerate the next phases of technology development and market validation.
