SatEnlight wins StartCup Lombardia 2025 and the Thales Alenia Space Corporate Prize

On 12 November 2025, SatEnlight was named winner of the Industrial Technologies category at StartCup Lombardia 2025, held at Palazzo Lombardia in Milan.

The company also received the Thales Alenia Space Corporate Prize, adding an important industry recognition to the result.

The StartCup Lombardia award included a €25,000 prize and access to the Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione, while the Thales Alenia Space Corporate Prize provided an additional €20,000.

For SatEnlight, the recognition came only a few months after the company had formally started its journey and represented an early validation of its work on optical communication technologies based on structured light and Orbital Angular Momentum.

The competition brought together innovative projects from universities and the regional innovation ecosystem across sectors including industrial technologies, ICT, life sciences and clean technologies.

Winning both the Industrial Technologies category and the corporate recognition strengthened SatEnlight’s position within the Lombardy deep-tech ecosystem and opened the next stage of the company’s journey.

Following the regional competition, SatEnlight prepared to bring its project to the national stage through the Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione.
