SatEnlight brings optical communications to TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 in San Francisco

From 13 to 15 October 2026, SatEnlight took part in TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 at Moscone West in San Francisco.

The participation followed SatEnlight’s selection in August as one of the companies included in the Startup Battlefield 200, TechCrunch’s annual cohort of promising early-stage startups from around the world.

SatEnlight was selected within the Space and Defense category.

During the three-day event, the company presented its vision for next-generation optical communications to an audience extending well beyond the traditional satellite industry.

SatEnlight exhibited at Booth BW17, while CEO Matteo Vismara and Strategy Associate Francesco Emilio Codazzi represented the company during the event.

The team also had the opportunity to take the stage and present what SatEnlight is building.

For the company, participating in Disrupt represented an important opportunity to connect its highly specialised deep-tech proposition with the wider global technology and investment ecosystem.

Throughout 2026, SatEnlight had increasingly expanded its international presence.

The year had taken the company from Washington, D.C. and major European space programmes to Paris, Munich and, in October, Silicon Valley.

Each environment offered a different perspective: scientific validation, industrial relationships, satellite-sector visibility and access to investors and technology companies.

TechCrunch Disrupt added another dimension to that journey.

For SatEnlight, the San Francisco event was an opportunity to present optical communications not simply as a specialised satellite technology, but as part of the broader future of global connectivity.
