SatEnlight joins the ESRIC ecosystem for space resources and advanced technologies

In May 2026, SatEnlight joined the sixth cohort of the Start-up Support Programme connected to the European Space Resources Innovation Centre, ESRIC.

The programme brought together companies from Europe and beyond developing technologies with potential applications across the space resources value chain.

For SatEnlight, participation opened a new context in which to explore the role of advanced optical communications within future space infrastructure.

The company officially shared the milestone on 8 May 2026, following activities connected to Space Resources Week in Luxembourg.

Two days earlier, on 6 May, the ecosystem hosted an ISRU Cluster workshop focused on the convergence between terrestrial and space business practices, technology readiness and future B2B opportunities.

SatEnlight joined the cohort alongside companies working across different technology domains, highlighting an increasingly important aspect of the space economy: future missions will rely on interconnected technological ecosystems rather than isolated components.

Reliable, high-capacity communications will be part of that infrastructure.

For SatEnlight, joining ESRIC therefore represented an opportunity to position optical communications within a broader discussion about future space operations, infrastructure and exploration.

It also reinforced a principle that has accompanied the company’s development from the beginning: bringing deep-tech startups, research organisations, institutions and industrial partners together can significantly accelerate the path from scientific innovation to operational technology.

The ESRIC programme added another European network to SatEnlight’s growing ecosystem in 2026.
